Terms of Service

These terms describe the rules for using FamilyGoal as a hosted household coordination service.

Use of the service

FamilyGoal is intended for lawful household and family coordination use. You are responsible for the content you add to your space and for how you invite other members into it.

Accounts

Access to the service may require email-based authentication, Google Sign-In, or both. You are responsible for maintaining access to the email account or Google account used to sign in and for authorized use of your space.

If you choose Google Sign-In, you authorize FamilyGoal to receive the account information shown on the Google consent screen for the purpose of authenticating you, creating or linking your FamilyGoal account, and maintaining account access inside the service.

You may stop using Google Sign-In at any time by revoking the connection in your Google account settings, but doing so may limit your ability to access the service through Google until you authorize it again.

Third-party authentication providers

Some authentication features rely on third-party providers, including Google and our email delivery and verification providers. Your use of those third-party services may also be subject to their own terms, privacy policies, and platform rules.

FamilyGoal is responsible for how we use account data after we receive it, as described in our Privacy Policy. Google is responsible for the operation of the Google sign-in service and your Google account under Google's own terms and privacy commitments.

Availability

We may update, improve, or modify the service over time. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, especially during maintenance, upgrades, or service interruptions from infrastructure providers.

Paid plans

Paid access is account-scoped. A single billing account can cover multiple spaces, and all plan limits are enforced across that billing account according to the selected plan. A paid offer may include a time-limited trial. Available plans, pricing, trial availability, and plan limits may change over time.

FamilyGoal paid plans may be sold, charged, renewed, and managed by Apple through the App Store or by our web billing provider. Unless canceled through the original purchase channel, subscriptions renew at the price and interval shown before purchase. Android is in pre-registration and does not currently offer Google Play subscriptions.

Billing states and feature access

If a subscription enters a grace period and our billing provider supplies a grace-period end date, paid features and plan limits may continue to work until that grace period ends. If a subscription becomes past due, creation of new records subject to plan limits may be blocked until billing is updated.

Canceling stops future renewal but does not itself refund the current charge. Access normally continues until the end of the paid period unless Apple or the web billing provider refunds or revokes the purchase. Deleting the app or a FamilyGoal account does not automatically cancel an App Store or web subscription; manage it through the original purchase channel.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate access for abuse, unlawful behavior, or material violation of these terms. Users may stop using the service subject to applicable billing and retention rules.

If a paid subscription remains canceled and is not restored, associated spaces may be scheduled for automatic deletion three months after cancellation. We may also delete data earlier or later where reasonably required for operational, security, legal, or abuse-prevention reasons.

Refunds and support

Apple decides App Store refunds, and we review eligible web billing requests. These rules do not limit mandatory consumer rights. Review the Refund Policy for billing and refund guidance. For billing or account questions, visit Support or email general@familygoal.app.
